The central question that my research addresses is if resource users can <em>manage<\/em> natural resources in a manner that respects ecological integrity and institutional norms.&nbsp; This inter-disciplinary research is a new sub-field in economics, called <strong>Ecological Economics<\/strong>, and differs from the traditional neoclassical economics, which would consider the natural environment as another raw material used in the production process.&nbsp; I apply advanced ecological economic tools to <em>three major areas<\/em>: renewable resources including water and fisheries, ecosystem services valuation, and agro-ecological systems, <em>and<\/em> help policy makers and stakeholders choose sustainable resource management strategies. &nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Sustainability of the Florida fresh produce supply chain under future climate change.
