That means I\u2019ve crossed the invisible threshold between \u201cwriter with a website\u201d and \u201cperson who uploads videos to the internet.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There\u2019s no going back now. Eleven-year-old me isn’t so surprised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You can check it out here: Welcome<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n One of the weird things about building a website is that text can only do so much to convey what you intend to convey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You can read essays. But none of that really tells you what kind of person is behind the site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So, I made a short welcome video to introduce myself and explain what this whole project is about through my own eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s a little under four minutes long and covers things like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Important philosophical questions. Naturally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you\u2019ve spent any time reading my writing, you already know my style sits somewhere between:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The video reflects that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There are references to rhetorical theory, media culture, persuasion, and the general hooplah of modern communication. It\u2019s intentionally a little dramatic, slightly tongue-in-cheek, and very much in the spirit of this site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In other words:<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s educational, but me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This video is also the beginning of something new for the site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That being said, I had the brilliant idea of starting to experiment with interactive and multimedia content, which means future posts may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n All spoken from the 3D Plotagon render of myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The internet is a rhetorical playground.
