Additional planning can include follow-up evaluations (or specialized approaches) such as Impact, return on investment (ROI; or other cost-benefit types), or policy evaluation.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>03 &#8211; Consulting, feedback, and attending research meetings<\/td><td>Planning<\/td><td>Attending and participating in research meetings to provide feedback on research design, data collection, and analysis, especially concerning evaluation.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>04 &#8211; Research writing and investigation<\/td><td>Planning<\/td><td>Participation in evaluation writing for grants or contracts. This can include general research investigations or writing to support the research team.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>05 &#8211; Psychometrics and instrument development<\/td><td>Planning<\/td><td>The use of psychometrics to improve any researcher created data collection instruments or making refinements on existing data collection instruments. Qualitative data collection instruments will also undergo a validity process to improve accuracy and precision of information.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>06 &#8211; Quantitative data collection<\/td><td>Data<\/td><td>Conversion of quantitative question items into survey design. The arrangement of quantitative data collection items can take on the form of a survey, questionnaire, an assessment, or rubric. Data collection incorporates multiple attempts to seek information from non-respondents.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>07 &#8211; Qualitative data collection<\/td><td>Data<\/td><td>Conducting an hour long interview, observation, or focus group will take 2 hours of work. The 2-hour time framework incorporates 30 minutes of preparation time and 30 minutes of debriefing time. The annual estimate for 60 interviews or focus groups per year is provided. Training can also be provided to prepare others in conducting qualitative data collection.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>08 &#8211; Quantitative data analysis<\/td><td>Analysis<\/td><td>This involves the use of data analytic techniques to prepare data for analysis. Such techniques include handling missing data, checking parametric assumptions, descriptive statistics, reliability estimation, and applying simple inferential statistics (t-test and one-way ANOVA). Nonparametric statistics can be incorporated here.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>09 &#8211; Additional statistics analysis<\/td><td>Analysis<\/td><td>Additional statistical support includes the use of regression modeling for prediction or explanation, the use of multivariate statistics, or statistical modeling.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>10 &#8211; Qualitative data analysis<\/td><td>Analysis<\/td><td>The use of qualitative techniques to identify themes or patterns. The use of inductive or deductive (or both) coding can be utilized here.
