<\/p>\n

I am an Associate Teaching Professor at Florida International University.<\/p>\n

I have completed my Masters degree in August 2010 under the direction of Elisabeth Werner<\/a>, and my PhD degree in August 2014 under the direction of Elisabeth Werner<\/a> and Stanislaw Szarek<\/a> at Case Western Reserve University.<\/p>\n

My research interest is convex geometric analysis.\u00a0I work on information-theoretic inequalities for functions (mainly log-concave) and their relations with inequalities involving convex bodies from convex\u00a0geometry.<\/p>\n

I also work on transforming the way lower-level math courses are taught and to improve student retention and success by using active learning techniques, emphasizing critical thinking, and using technology. I am also involved in redesigning many math courses to improve the teaching and learning experience at FIU. I have been serving as Hybrid Faculty Fellow since 2021 and helping to train faculty from various disciplines to design evidence-based hybrid classes.<\/p>\n

I have been serving as a senator at the Faculty Senate<\/a> since Fall 2021 as well.<\/p>\n
