Brooke Johnson is a junior at FIU, majoring in Creative Writing and earning a certificate in Professional and Public Writing. She is also a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the English honors society, and is an honors student. Beyond the classroom, Brooke works two jobs. Firstly, she is the director of the opinions column at PantherNow. Her second job is a writing center tutor at FIU’s Center for Excellence in Writing. As well, she is an editor for a team of three to four girls at the FIU chapter of HerCampus. Before becoming an editor, she was a writer for two years. She is also the secretary for the FIU Book Club. In her free time, Brooke loves to read. Her favorite book is The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood. She also loves to travel. Her favorite place she’s ever been is Italy. Recently, Brooke has picked up embroidery and is excited to keep learning. Brooke is excited to see where her future leads; she hopes it takes her to New York.
