Welcome to my page! I lead the Healthy Work Lab at FIU and am dedicated to research and applied work in the areas of occupational health and well-being, talent management, and disability inclusion at work. I am affiliated with FIU Embrace, a university initiative to support the overall functioning of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through this partnership, I work to define and promote best practices on disability employment, as well as to establish organizational and managerial readiness through leadership development. I also serve as subject matter expert, executive coach, and co-director of the Women Leaders Program at FIU’s #1 Ranked Center for Leadership .
I have consulted with both private and public sector organizations in the areas of employee selection, job analysis, performance measurement, competency modeling, preemployment assessment, and promotional testing. I have also led the development and localization of assessments used in global selection programs. My grant funding has made it possible to develop and implement the Ready to Lead training program aimed at developing critical skills and knowledge in supervisors of employees with developmental disabilities.
My work has received state and federal level grant funding totaling over $3 million, been published in leading academic journals, presented at numerous conferences, and featured in major popular media outlets. I have served on the state-level committee for the APA’s Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award, as well as on SIOP’s Professional Practice Committee on Occupational Health, Safety, and Well-Being and the Disability, Inclusion, and Accessibility Committee. I am also on the editorial board of Work & Stress and Occupational Health Science.
