Keynotes and Public Lectures
- July 3 – 10, 2022: Dr. Dare was invited to be a Visiting Scholar at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. She and her colleague Dr. Gillian Roehrig (University of Minnesota) met with faculty and graduate students to discuss research in integrated STEM Education. This visit also included a public lecture, a recording of which can be found here.
Awards
- 2021 – The NARST Publications Advisory Committee (PAC) has awarded a Research Worth Reading Award to the publication “I just do what the boys tell me”: Exploring small group interactions in an integrated STEM unit by Dr. Jeanna Wieselmann, Dr. Emily Dare, Dr. Elizabeth Ring-Whalen, and Dr. Gillian Roehrig. This recognition is given to three papers published in the Journal of Research in Science Teaching (JRST) in the past year that are interpreted to have the most significant implications for science educators and practitioners.
