About Eric

Eric is currently the Coordinator in the Office of Global Learning Initiatives at Florida International University (FIU).  Eric holds two degrees from FIU, having completed undergraduate work in the School of International and Public Affairs and graduate study in the College of Education.  He oversees the University’s internationalized co-curriculum by planning collaborative, engaging outside-of-the-classroom experiences and advising global student organizations.  Academic interests include the ethical decision making processes and information literacy of college students, particularly through effective communication skills and democratic deliberation.  Eric is half of FIU’s delegation to a learning exchange on civic partipation with the Kettering Foundation.  In addition, Eric serves as an instructor for the Honors College, where he teaches a two-semester freshman course on college success, research, writing, and leadership to help students connect to University resources and graduate on time.
