Zailin Font Acosta is a Natural and Applied Sciences major pursuing a career in nursing, with long-term plans to become a Nurse Practitioner specializing in dermatology. Born in Cuba, she moved to Miami in 2015, an experience that shaped her adaptability and resilience. She initially followed a pre-medical track as a biology major before changing paths and transitioning into nursing. In November, she graduated as a phlebotomist, an experience that strengthened her interest in patient care and hands-on clinical work. Zailin enjoys reading, sketching, oil painting, and gardening, and she also has a strong interest in sports cars and racing. Though she considers herself more of a reader than a writer, she values learning and is committed to gaining as much knowledge as possible through her education.
