While creating this website, I focused on building a clear and readable space that introduces me as a writer and presents my work in an organized way. I wanted the site to feel simple to navigate so that readers can quickly find my writing and understand the purpose of the site.
Our course readings on web writing and audience influenced how I structured each page. I paid attention to clarity, headings, and breaking information into sections so that online readers can move through the site easily. I also thought about how an authorial persona is created online and tried to present myself in a way that feels professional but still personal.
As I worked on this project, I revised my writing for clarity and adjusted formatting so that it works well in a digital space rather than just on a traditional document. I also included links and separate pages to make the site more interactive and readable.
Moving forward, I plan to continue revising and expanding this site by adding more writing and improving the design. This project helped me think more intentionally about writing for the web and how reading about digital writing practices can shape the way I create content online.
Self-Assessment and Vision for Module 3
As I look back at my website so far, I think one of the biggest strengths is that the site already has a clear structure and purpose. The pages are organized in a a way that allows visitors to move through the site fairly easily, and the navigation menu makes it simple to find different sections. I also tried to focus on making the writing feel natural and readable rather than overly formal, since websites usually work best when the content is clear and easy for readers to follow.
Another part of the site that I think is working well is the overall layout. I personally tend to be a very simple and organized person, so I naturally prefer clean and straightforward designs. Because of that, I tried to keep the layout simple rather than overcrowded with too many elements. I think this helps users focus on the content itself instead of getting distracted by too many visuals or sections on the page. Since people usually scan websites quickly rather than reading everything in detail, having a clean and organized layout can make it easier for visitors to find information.
At the same time, there are still a few areas where the site could improve. Some pages could include more detailed content so that visitors have a clearer understanding of the purpose of the website and the topics being discussed. I also think adding more blog posts would help attract more viewers and keep the site feeling active. When a website has more frequent updates or new posts, it encourages visitors to return and explore new content.
Looking ahead to Module 3, one area I am especially interested in developing further is adding more content and experimenting with multimedia elements. This could include images, videos, or other visual content that makes the site more engaging. I am also interested in exploring how websites connect with social media and how digital platforms can be used to reach different audiences.
Overall, I think my website has a solid foundation, but there is still room to grow. My goal moving into Module 3 is to expand the number of posts, improve the visual presentation, and continue learning how to design a website that is both informative and engaging for readers.

Metacritical Reflection Composition Process
When I first started building this website, I mostly thought of it as a place to upload assignments for my Writing for the Web course. At the beginning of the semester, each page felt separate from the others, and I was focused more on finishing individual projects than thinking about how they worked together as one site. As the semester continued, that changed. I started paying more attention to how everything connected through the homepage, navigation menu, and overall structure so the site would feel easier to move through.
One of the biggest things I learned while building this site was how different writing for the web is from writing traditional essays. I went back and revised several pages so they were easier to read online. I added clearer headings, shortened paragraphs, and adjusted the layout so visitors could quickly understand what each page included. I also spent time improving how the pages connected to each other so the site felt more organized instead of just being a collection of assignments.
Another change I made over time was adding more multimedia and thinking more carefully about how the pages looked visually. Before this class, I did not really think about how images, spacing, or structure affected how people experience writing online. As I revised my site, I started making decisions based on how someone visiting the page for the first time might move through it. That helped the site feel more like an actual website instead of just coursework.
As part of building a stronger online presence for the site, I also created connected Instagram and TikTok pages. Setting up these platforms helped me think more about how writing and content move across different digital spaces and how audiences interact with material outside of a website itself. Including social media connections made the site feel more complete and helped link my writing to the kinds of online environments where readers normally discover and engage with content.
By the end of the semester, I was thinking less about individual assignments and more about the overall experience of the site. I started seeing how the homepage, review articles, writing sample, and supporting pages worked together to show how my writing developed while learning to write for online audiences.
How Course Readings Influenced My Writing
The readings in this course helped me understand why writing for the web needs to be structured differently than traditional academic writing. At the beginning of the semester, I mostly wrote the way I normally would for classes, but over time I started revising my pages based on ideas we discussed in the readings, especially audience awareness and usability.
One idea that influenced my revisions the most was chunking. Learning that online readers usually scan pages instead of reading every word changed how I organized my paragraphs. I went back and adjusted sections so they were easier to move through and added headings to help guide readers across the site. This made my writing feel more appropriate for a website instead of a traditional essay format.
Electronic eloquence was another idea that helped me think differently about how writing works online. It made me pay more attention to how layout, images, and links contribute to how a message is understood. Because of this, I added more visual elements and adjusted how information appeared on the page so it would feel clearer and more engaging for visitors.
Overall, the readings helped me shift from writing only for assignments to thinking more about writing for actual readers using the site. They helped me make decisions about structure, tone, and organization that made the site feel more intentional and easier to explore.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Keyword Changes
Some of the main keywords used throughout my website include wellness, writing for the web, digital media, social media writing, and creative projects. These words reflect both the purpose of my site and the type of content visitors can expect to find when exploring different pages.
For example, the keyword wellness appears mostly on my homepage and blog-style sections because Align With Sophia is designed as a lifestyle-focused and personal writing space. The phrase writing for the web appears more often in my project pages since those sections focus on coursework and digital writing strategies. I also used digital media and social media writing in posts like my audio feature to connect my work to online communication practices.
Using these keywords across different pages helped keep my website consistent and made it easier to organize content around the main themes of the site. It also helped me think more intentionally about how readers might understand what each section includes when they first visit the page.
As I revised my pages throughout the semester, I adjusted headings and introductions to better reflect these keywords and make the purpose of each section clearer for visitors. This process helped me understand that search engine optimization is not only about helping people find a website through search engines, but also about helping readers understand how the pages connect once they are already on the site.
