Welcome, my children. Come and sit criss-cross apple sauce as Mother Today I’m going to do a review of the lovely website, “Sun Lotus.”
I like the name, and it’s not just because I have a lotus flower tattoo.
It reminds me of “Percy Jackson as well.

Usability
The sections or pages that could generally be assumed that readers would want to utilize are present, such as the Home page, About Page, Author Bio and Contact page. It’s important to include these to build the foundation of the site and promote engagement with the readers. These pages also manage to format multimedia components, with the use of web-styled content and images.
Web-styled content has allowed content to be formatted in user-friendly sections with the use of headers, brief paragraphs, images, and videos.
This site acknowledges the importance of formatting information in ways that would appeal to readers’ attention, as it’s not likely that readers wouldn’t drift off attempting to read an article that’s like one long Harry Potter novel. Information is divided into sections that would allow readers to easily immerse into the content.
The tone of the site allows for a friendly vibe as well, allowing readers to build a connection as if they’re communicating with a peer rather than listening to a scholar discuss solar interconnected systems with jargon they don’t have the energy to try to understand.
The use of multimedia components is exercised effectively throughout the site. This allows for a better connection from the users towards the site, encouraging readers to come running back.

Multimedia
As said before, the use of multimedia components significantly promotes user engagement. Intergetik claimed, “..multimedia helps to break the monotony of text-heavy pages, making the content more appealing and easier to consume” (Intergetik, 2024). Intergetik claims how multimedia allows for users to consume content more effectively, and “Sun Lotus” understood this well.
The videos used are appealed to users through the settings that allow users to engage with them effectively based on their own needs. Intergetik also expresses the importance of users being able to control video settings, such as pausing and volume (Intergetik, 2024). “Sun Lotus” shows understanding of this through allowing users to do just this.
The use of images and humorous animations activates different information modes, allowing readers to not get overwhelmed by too much of one mode.
The linguistic content is user-friendly as it’s divided effectively with other modes of content to promote engagement.

Though, there is an instance in which some words could have been formatted in a way in which cohesion could’ve been improved to allow easier understanding. On the “About Lotus Page,” there was the text:
“It was my first
time incorporating media..” (Sun Lotus, 2026).
With this format, it wasn’t matching the format of other sentences on the page, such as:
“And thus, Sun Lotus was born, with each delicate petal represents an artistic expression.
“Offering everything from music recommendations and entertainment critiques to photography and Feminine-presenting lifestyle tips” (Sun Lotus, 2026).
Hoa Loranger has stated that short may not always be better if context isn’t fully developed (Loranger, 2014).
Though context is still clearly here as the information that is to be conveyed is all there, it still may not exactly be better in this case for sentences to be shortened to the next line as in the the first example from the About page.
It would allow for better consumption from readers for sentences to be developed in a way that doesn’t disrupt the way that readers became familiar with digesting the content.
It may be best for text to maintain the same format in order to continue a cohesive arrangement of content geared towards readers.
I’m Running Back

“Sun Lotus” overall manages to incorporate engagement strategies that would have me going straight back to the site. Its use of color, multimedia, and usability are intertwined into quite a web of a site.
You see what I did there? It’s because webs…okay…
