Sun Lotus

Let’s revisit our Sun Lotus, my children.

I know you must remember Sun Lotus, my children?

If not, allow Mother to refresh your memory.

This site was on that I had reviewed some time ago.

This site was made live by the lovely Kerr.

This site had been one that produced quite a comfy vibe.

It was the kind of vibe that you’d love to come home to after a long day at work. I know that if I went straight to reading that site after a long day at work as a preschool teacher, I wouldn’t mind.

With the soft palette of color and clever use of multimedia, Sun Lotus is one that would give you a breather after a long day.

To Relax or Not to Relax

Allow Mother to give you another bout of wisdom.

You guys have gotten this far (well, some of you maybe) into your journey with me, whether it’s talking about ambience or sliding in comments about She’s All That.

So, what’s another read?

What’s another read that could assist my children with the thoughts they may have had themselves?

I know we’ve all had daily hurdles that also seem to test the very atom of our very being of our very soul.

I know it seems like we’re all on a never-ending clock that never stops ticking, that feels at work even when it’s not supposed to be ticking.

Allow Mother to assist with these feelings with this post.

.Mother knows best.

I Don’t Know Debra, We’ll See

We all know that feeling when we get so overwhelmed by everything and taking a break feels like it’s all going to crumble, so let’s talk about it my dearies.

When No Looks Better than Yes

As I mentioned above, I’m sure we all have our moments where we’d get so overwhelmed, taking a break to relax feels like the pending blowup of everything we have to do.

Whether we’re parents thinking that we probably shouldn’t take two minutes to see what Elena is going to say to Stefan on the patio because that kid is a little too quiet for your liking 🚶

Seriously, girl. What were you thinking? I’d be all over that, but I digress.

Whether we’re students thinking we probably shouldn’t take the time to rewatch that Love Island episode after work because there’s just got to be an assignment we forget to do. There’s GOT to be.

Me trying to remember what the heck I missed.

We all get overwhelmed by the various tasks we have to do.

I work full-time as a preschool teacher Monday through Friday, so when the weekend comes it really doesn’t seem long enough.

Don’t get me wrong, kids are adorable and there are definitely lighter moments with them that balance out the stressful ones.

However, when the stressful moments decide to come, they don’t hold back on the stress. I’m constantly on high-alert, waiting when I have to say to stop doing that, stop yelling like that, and to stop talking back.

With the constant state of work on our minds, we may forget that it’s okay to have our minds relax. Though when it’s time for this relaxation, we’re still thinking about what we have to do.

I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve prepared to just chill before remembering I can’t watch “Supernatural” yet because I forgot to prepare something for the next day.

Don’t look at me like that, boys. You’re just going to have to wait.

Other than feeling like the Winchester brothers are judging me when I fail to continue to watch their next hunt because I forgot to prepare my lunch for work the next day, it almost feels criminal to take a break.

Who knew that yelling at kids could make somebody so hungry?

When

When it’s time to make a plan with a friend, there are two sides that are fighting. There are the sides of “yes” and “we’ll see, girl.”

It’s like I yearn for a hangout, but also feel like I need to recharge alone.

It’s like I yearn for a hangout, but feel like the other tasks I need to do are weighing on my mind because the weekend isn’t long enough (it goodly and truly isn’t).

We only get Saturday really. We get off work on Friday (well, some of us), do whatever the heck else we have to do on Saturday, then get things in order for work on Sunday.

Though, we are not robots. We’re allowed to relax. We’re allowed to recharge. It’s all about balance.

It’s About Balance Girl or Dude.

It’s all about balance.

It’s okay to make time for ourselves.

It’s also okay to make some time for our loved ones.

It’s okay to get some stuff done (like groceries and crap on Saturday), and allow yourself to watch Maury tell someone he’s not the father (even if it’s for fifteen minutes).

It’s okay to ask to reschedule with a friend if you realize you’re just not in it mentally.

IT’S OKAY

There’s Always Noise About Where You Want to Be

Hello, my lovelies. Take a dive into the struggles of people always having something to say about what you want to do, because they always do.

People always have something to say about what you’re doing, how you should do it, when you should do it, why you should do it, and where you should do it.

There’s always going to be noise in your ears about what you do with your life. I

If you want to be a singer, there’s going to be noise.

If you want to be a writer, best believe there’s going to be noise.

We have to learn how to encourage ourselves to quiet some noise to continue on our own paths.

Yes, some things that people say aren’t always unreasonable. Some people give quite reasonable advice.

Through, it’s up to you how to filter pieces of advice into your life.

It’s up to you how to filter advice in regards to your personal life and your career.

Take a read here about how we should deal with this noise.

Learn About Analytics

Hello, my dearies. Let’s discuss analytics for a second.

Analytics is important to understand from both sides of the coin, readers and writers. We are all readers and writers. One day we’re reading text, and the next day we’re producing it (and then reading it to make sure it looks okay).

Through analytics, we can understand more easily the traffic that comes with sites. This traffic includes measurements regarding how many times sites are visited and the lengths of times they’re visited for, and other factors.

Myself vs Myself

As writers, we have all have our outlets, don’t we? A few years ago I published a poem book on Amazon titled, SELF 1. This poem collection is a collection of emotional episodes throughout a rough time in my life at the time.

Below I’m going to describe Myself vs Myself, an excerpt from this brief collection.

Empty Mind Full of Thoughts

A few years back, I was going through a time when everything seemed like a chore.

Simply warming up food to eat was like a chore.

I felt like I was watching myself from another self.

I felt like I was fighting the self that I used to be and the self I was becoming.

Myself vs Myself drives takes you guys headfirst into this internal battle.

“Sun Lotus” User Test Report

Welcome, my children. Come and sit criss-cross apple sauce as Mother Today I’m going to do a review of the lovely website, “Sun Lotus.”

I like the name, and it’s not just because I have a lotus flower tattoo.

It reminds me of “Percy Jackson as well.

Usability

The sections or pages that could generally be assumed that readers would want to utilize are present, such as the Home page, About Page, Author Bio and Contact page. It’s important to include these to build the foundation of the site and promote engagement with the readers. These pages also manage to format multimedia components, with the use of web-styled content and images.

Web-styled content has allowed content to be formatted in user-friendly sections with the use of headers, brief paragraphs, images, and videos.

This site acknowledges the importance of formatting information in ways that would appeal to readers’ attention, as it’s not likely that readers wouldn’t drift off attempting to read an article that’s like one long Harry Potter novel. Information is divided into sections that would allow readers to easily immerse into the content.

The tone of the site allows for a friendly vibe as well, allowing readers to build a connection as if they’re communicating with a peer rather than listening to a scholar discuss solar interconnected systems with jargon they don’t have the energy to try to understand.

The use of multimedia components is exercised effectively throughout the site. This allows for a better connection from the users towards the site, encouraging readers to come running back.

Multimedia

As said before, the use of multimedia components significantly promotes user engagement. Intergetik claimed, “..multimedia helps to break the monotony of text-heavy pages, making the content more appealing and easier to consume” (Intergetik, 2024). Intergetik claims how multimedia allows for users to consume content more effectively, and “Sun Lotus” understood this well.

The videos used are appealed to users through the settings that allow users to engage with them effectively based on their own needs. Intergetik also expresses the importance of users being able to control video settings, such as pausing and volume (Intergetik, 2024). “Sun Lotus” shows understanding of this through allowing users to do just this.

The use of images and humorous animations activates different information modes, allowing readers to not get overwhelmed by too much of one mode.

The linguistic content is user-friendly as it’s divided effectively with other modes of content to promote engagement.

The linguistic content is user-friendly as it’s divided effectively with other modes of content to promote engagement.

Though, there is an instance in which some words could have been formatted in a way in which cohesion could’ve been improved to allow easier understanding. On the “About Lotus Page,” there was the text:

“It was my first
time incorporating media..” (Sun Lotus, 2026).

With this format, it wasn’t matching the format of other sentences on the page, such as:

“And thus, Sun Lotus was born, with each delicate petal represents an artistic expression.

“Offering everything from music recommendations and entertainment critiques to photography and Feminine-presenting lifestyle tips” (Sun Lotus, 2026).

Hoa Loranger has stated that short may not always be better if context isn’t fully developed (Loranger, 2014).

Though context is still clearly here as the information that is to be conveyed is all there, it still may not exactly be better in this case for sentences to be shortened to the next line as in the the first example from the About page.

It would allow for better consumption from readers for sentences to be developed in a way that doesn’t disrupt the way that readers became familiar with digesting the content.

It may be best for text to maintain the same format in order to continue a cohesive arrangement of content geared towards readers.

I’m Running Back

“Sun Lotus” overall manages to incorporate engagement strategies that would have me going straight back to the site. Its use of color, multimedia, and usability are intertwined into quite a web of a site.

You see what I did there? It’s because webs…okay…

Welcome, My Pretties

Hello, my children. I am Theresa, the mother of deriving-quotes-from-stories-because- I -have- nothing-better-to-do.

Obviously, I was thinking about the Mother of Dragons when I said this.

Imagine being referred to as the Mother of Dragons for the rest of your life. Alright, Emilia. I see you girl, I see you. 🤌

Anyway, I am the Mother of Codependent Relationships with Stories Because They Will Never Ghost Me.

I’ll shorten the title later.

With my title, I find it is my duty to allow a place where all of my children can feel at comfort with the solace of stories, and the chosen words from these stories that resonate with them.

With my title, I find it is my duty to allow a place for my children to recollect and convene with their provided literary desires away from their stressed out everyday lives.

My children may be college students working part-time or full time that have gotten into habits of popping in those frozen microwave nuggets because they don’t have the energy to cook a meal after work and that assignment is due at 11:59PM.

My children may be young adults recently moved into their new apartments or houses and are saving up to get some furniture (because buying a house these days seems to take your entire life savings and then some).

My children may be parents who try to sneak in chapters of their favorite novels while hoping the kids stay enchanted by Mrs.Rachel long enough.

Whoever may children are, your mother welcomes you to acquire more information about her and her site through Welcome.

Welcome Video

Hello, my dearies. Please watch the video below to become more acquainted with your Mother of Spending Her Time Reading All the Time Because She Likes Made-Up Worlds More Than Her Own.

Welcome, children.

Below is a transcript for the welcome video if you’d like to follow along:

Hello, my fellow readers, daydreamers, and heavily-relying-on-books-to-make-me-feel-better-because-at-least-they’ll-never-leave-me-on-read-for-two-weeks-ers. My name is Theresa, and I’d like for us all to connect through the stories we travel through, and the words from them or that we derive from them.

All stories and quotes are welcome, I don’t discriminate. So, even if you want to talk about a collection of words that Bella might’ve uttered about two cute guys that were fighting over her in the woods…if you want to use that, that’s fine. I’m not gonna judge. I used to watch “Twilight” myself when I was younger.

Matter of fact, I still have the entire DVD set, and I’m not giving it up to Goodwill. It’s staying with me. Thank you.

Decisions. Decisions. Right, Bella? Team Edward, by the way. If you’re Team Jacob, your mother is disowning you (just kidding, I don’t discriminate, remember?)

I loved reading stories and writing them ever since I was a kid. I found solace in stepping out of my life and into others, and realized I wanted to provide this solace for others as well. That’s why I started writing stories in addition to reading them.

I’ve gone from having notebooks of stories in my closet to now having a published poem book on Amazon and an aspiring novel. From an early age I realized I wanted to share the solace I found in reading, and that’s what I decided to do.

Whether they’re stories that I’ve written or stories written by others, words from stories manage to stay with me after I put the book down…or five minutes before I pick it back up again because I’m not going outside.

We all have those quotes that have stuck with us.

Whether it’s Ron Weasley’s “Why spiders? Why couldn’t it be butterflies?” For me, it’s neither. Spiders scare me and butterflies freak me out, so NO. So, whether it’s Ron Weasley’s quote or Holden Caulfield’s “If a body catch a body through the rye?” I know we have all read “Catcher in the Rye” in high school at least seen the cover and pretended to read it, so don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about.

Okay. Stories have a way of moving all of us, and I’d like for all of us to journey together. Welcome, my children.

(You heard that sound? I know it probably scared you, sorry about that. That’s the sound we all hear when we transport into stories, and that’s the sound we’re all going to be revisiting through LitTherapy).
