Welcome to the debut of the “The Movie Diaries” gallery, where you can get to know me and my tastes better. The gallery features my top 10 favorite movies of all time, I thought that it would be fun to showcase you what I enjoy outside my typical listicles and reviews.
There are so many movies I enjoy that didn’t make it but I still love so much, I tried to choose the films that represent me the most. I am a romance movie fan so most of the films in the list include it, my favorite of all time is “La La Land” (2016), I watch it at least once every single year and I cry my eyes out every time, the music is also fantastic and it frequents my playlists.
I also enjoy comedies a lot, I can quote “Clueless” (1995) and “Mean Girls” (2004) completely. Something that I appreciate in films that I tend to pay attention too when watching is the costumes, that is why “The Devil Wears Prada” (2006) is one of my favorites, besides the amazing acting and story of course.
I had to include some period pieces too, I love an old timey feel with gowns and epic love confessions, which “Little Women” (2019) and “Pride and Prejudice” (2005) both have, I can quote both of the confessions in the films by memory.
Something else I had to add is a coming of age, and that’s where “Lady Bird” (2016) comes in, I think the film and the genre itself are full of hope and feel comforting, which brings me back to another movies I had to add, “The Aristocats” (1970) and “Paddington 2” (2017), which are as cozy as you can get when it comes to a film.
Lastly, I added the “The Hunger Games” because it’s such an important part of my childhood and life, I still talk about it after reading the books years ago and I keep up with all their new releases!
