Exposed!

Intro

Greeting my peeps!!! I finally showed my face to the public on my blog. I have always been shy to show my face to the public , especially through social platforms. Although I would describe myself as an extroverted person I think I am more extroverted in-person rather than on social platforms. But I want to create deeper connections with you guys and that first step is showing my face to the audience. It is so funny because on my “About the Author” page I placed a profile photo of my favorite manhwa rather than my favorite because I could not fathom showing my face, and maybe partly because I always thought you need a ‘good’ photo and I have a lot of silly photos. Mind you I have a lot of photos of myself but I always thought they were not ‘good enough’ for the internet.

This talk reminded me of 2  K-dramas I watched that were about a similar situation. They are called Mask Girl and Shadow Beauty.

Both of these dramas are about people who created social lives online while never showing their face because they are insecure about their looks because of societal pressure of beauty. While both shows have completely different plots I think it is safe to say they have similar lessons. I did not want to experience that kind of life of hiding behind a mask so here I am exposing myself to you guys.
