Hello guys, in honor of my upcoming trip to South Korea, we are at it again with a new Korean drama review, but we are going to do something a little different. We are going to share K-drama-centered places. Right now, we are going to focus on places located in Seoul, so for anyone traveling to Korea or anyone looking for new dramas to watch.
- Yonsei University

@CIEE
A popular place and featured in many Korean dramas, this university is part of Korea’s SKY university list. It is known for its scenic infrastructure, being ivy-covered, and amazing architecture. It has drawn the attention of many people to travel there or become an international student. As seen in dramas such as True Beauty, Snowdrop, Lovely Runner, Hello My Twenties, etc.

@tVn
Compared to some universities, Yonsei University is open to visitors, and do not forget to go and get yourself one of their letterman college jackets. The best time to visit is during the summer and spring because the ivies are in full bloom. I even added a photo of IVE rocking the jackets.

- Namsan Tower

@Tripadvisor
The Namsan Tower is located in Seoul and is another famous tourist attraction among Koreans and K-drama lovers. There’s a reason why it attracts over 12 million visitors every year (Samuel, n.d.), and that is because of its panoramic view of the Namsan mountains, and it has a place called the “Locks of Love”, a tradition where couples or friends buy a lock to place on the gate to represent eternal connection. As seen in K-dramas such as Kpop Demon Hunters, Business Proposal, Boys Over Flowers, etc.

- Gyeonbokgung Palace

One of the historic places in Korea was built during the Joseon Dynasty in 1395. It is located in the heart of Seoul, and it serves as a memorial for how Korea once looked during the Joseon Dynasty. As seen in K-dramas Goblin, The King, Kingdom, etc., it provides the experience to dress up in traditional wear with shops near the area.

@Trazy
- Dongdaemun Design Plaza

Located in Seoul, this is THE cultural hub of Korea. This complex holds different cultural events like Seoul Fashion Week. It symbolizes where “new design trends begin, and cultures are exchanged”, with its futuristic look. As seen in K-dramas like Vincenzo, Lovely Runner, Love Alarm, etc (“DDP Overview, About Us, DDP Guide”, n.d.). The best time to visit is at night when the lights are the most beautiful, as it gives it a fascinating look.

- Han River

@Seoul Metropolitan Government
Otherwise known as Hangang, this 319-mile river stretches through Seoul. As seen in K-dramas Lovely Runner, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Itaewon Class, etc., there are so many things you can do. You can do water sports like paddling, or eat ramyeon by the river in one of the parks, or go cycling. Even when parents travel with kids, there are activities to do, also.

@Visit Seoul
Add these places to your itinerary, so that you have a few places to visit in Seoul, especially if you are a first-time traveler. If you are an experienced traveler and haven’t seen these places or been there and did not do the activities, I definitely recommend them because on my visit, because I will definitely be doing them.
