You will find a link here for “tips for writing a philosophy paper.” But I’ve been thinking for a while about how to teach READING philosophy, which I find infinitely harder to teach.
Reading philosophy is a SKILL that requires practice. Just like you can’t expect to play guitar well after playing guitar twice, you can’t expect to be able to read philosophy well after only reading a few articles or books.
